Children in Need Funding Workshop

Somerset voluntary or community groups considering submitting an application to BBC Children in Need are invited to take part in a funding workshop on Wednesday 5 July from 12.30 - 2.00 in the Luttrell Room, County Hall, Taunton.

Richard King, BBC Children in Need Regional Officer for the South and West, will present the funding programme, be on hand to welcome potential applicants, answer questions, and talk through proposals on a one-to-one basis.

BBC Children in Need gives grants to charities and not-for profit organisations working with children and young people aged 18 years and under experiencing disadvantage through:

  • Illness, distress, abuse or neglect
  • Any kind of disability
  • Behavioural or psychological difficulties
  • Living in poverty or situations of deprivation

Any organisation wishing to attend the Children in Need workshop should email kconger@somerset.gov.uk to book a place.
