New funding for social entrepreneurs helping England age better
SCF is proud to announce that it has been selected as one of 5 national partners to support a new initiative backed by The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to identify and nurture great people with ideas that will really make a difference to the lives of older people.The partners will contribute to a £250,000 fund backed by The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to identify and nurture great people with ideas that will really make a difference to the lives of older people.
SCF will use its well-developed networks in the VCSE and business sectors to identify social entrepreneurs who are addressing key issues older people experience and who want to transform the way we approach ageing. Funding is provided to link social entrepreneurs with the skills, information and support they need to succeed.
Somerset Community Foundation will be working in partnership with the South West Academic Health Science Network, Devon Community Foundation and Cornwall Community Foundation.
